What is Microneedle Radio Frequency?

Microneedles Radio Frequency (MRF) (or microneedling treatment)  is a minimally invasive, non-laser therapy that is used to treat a range of skin conditions and skin types safely and effectively. It works on all skin types and works deep in your skin to trigger natural rejuvenation.

MRF involves penetration of insulated needles into the skin to deliver radiofrequency pulse into the targeted tissue to treat deep acne scars, atrophic scars, operation scars, burns and open pores.

What is the treatment like?

MRF is non-ablative (non-wounding) and is very well-tolerated by patients. For more comfort, the face is the numbed using an anesthetic cream. The procedure takes about 25  minutes or more depending on the target area and the severity of the skin condition.

After the treatment, patients will experience warmth and redness which dissipate immediately. The swelling on the face resolves in one or two days. By then you will feel that your facial skin has become tighter and more lifted.

Microneedling offers quick recovery with little downtime. Patients report no pain after the treatment.

How does Microneedle Radio Frequency work?

With this procedure, insulated microneedles are driven directly into the skin at precise depth and radiofrequency energy is generated inside of the skin, leaving the top skin layer cooler. This means that the epidermis is left intact, and there is very little risk of scarring or pigmentation as opposed to more invasive methods. The controlled deep tissue warming triggers the body to produce new collagen. The result? Firmer and healthier skin.
