Sculptra
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment designed to restore facial tightness, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles over time. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which works by stimulating the skin’s natural collagen production, gradually enhancing firmness and elasticity. Sculptra is ideal for those seeking a natural, long-lasting rejuvenation, as the results develop gradually over several weeks and can last up to two years. This treatment is particularly effective for addressing volume loss in areas such as the cheeks, temples, and jawline, offering a refreshed and youthful appearance.
How does it work?
Sculptra works by stimulating the skin’s natural collagen production to restore volume, improve elasticity, and smooth wrinkles over time. The treatment uses poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is injected into targeted areas to support the skin’s underlying structure. As collagen production increases, the skin becomes firmer and more youthful in appearance, with results developing gradually over several weeks. This process not only enhances facial contours but also improves overall skin texture and resilience. The effects of Sculptra are long-lasting, with results that can be enjoyed for up to two years.

Results and recovery:
The results of Sculptra develop gradually, with many patients beginning to notice improvements within a few weeks as collagen production is stimulated. The full effects can take up to 6 to 8 weeks to fully materialize. As a biostimulator, it is advised to do Sculptra in a series of treatments between 2 – 5. Treatments with 2 months interval between each 2 sessions. Application of manual massage is mandatory after each Sculptra session. The general rule of post Sculptra massage is : five days, five times a day each time for five minutes. There is no downtime, allowing individuals to resume normal activities almost immediately after treatment.
